Octavia Cephalo emerged as our beloved brand ambassador from a spontaneous moment of fun during a virtual team meeting. Our creative director applied an octopus filter which sparked the idea that quickly resonated with everyone. What began as a playful act evolved into a powerful symbol Of our agency’s personality.

Building on this foundation, we began to flesh out Octavia’s personality as an infusion of edgy, confidence and a risk taking leader with a dash of sass.
Her presence is strategically implemented to enhance our personal branding movement by fostering an engaging and relatable connection with our consumer audience while adding a touch of personality and whimsy to inspire curiosity in our B2B clients.

Octavia The human
While Octavia in her natural octopus form perfectly embodies Compelify’s essence, we recognized the need for a more versatile representation of our brand. This led to the creation of a human variant of Octavia, who was loosely inspired by our creative director, Melanie. This humanoid Octavia retains all
the key characteristics of her cephalopod counterpart – the sass, confidence, and intelligence that define her – but now also exists in a relatable, human form. This transformation allows us to connect with our B2B audience on a deeper level and use her in other ways.
Octavia has become a central figure across our brand. Her human form can be seen integrated into our explainer videos, bringing our services and processes to life with her engaging personality. As the voice behind our company blog, she shares insights and expertise, establishing us as thought leaders in the industry. You can even find her interacting with our audience on social media, answering questions and sharing her perspective with the hashtag #0ctaviaAnswers.
By creating a human version of Octavia and grounding her in the personality of our creative director, we’ve unlocked a new level engagement. This allows us to leverage her presence in ways that wouldn’t be possible in her octopus form.
